Our Purpose

In Teen Week's Poetry Class, we sought to teach the students about the beauty of words and how the effect us, as well as to instill an appreciation for poetry through a dynamic course of introspection and surrender. Here is a collection of works written by the campers.

The Poptart

I wait
I wait in silence
Mind pondering on what to do next

I have unclothed the food
And let gravity take its course as
It was dropped won into the depths of my heated box

I am impatient but that will not speed up my wait.

Pop.

Out comes
The Poptart
My Poptart

Its sugary goodness soothes my taste buds
As I insert it into my Mouth
Probably fattening But I don't care

It is the Poptart
My Poptart
