Our Purpose

In Teen Week's Poetry Class, we sought to teach the students about the beauty of words and how the effect us, as well as to instill an appreciation for poetry through a dynamic course of introspection and surrender. Here is a collection of works written by the campers.

Who Are You?

Who are you?
No one I've seen before
I feel as though I know you
Deep down to your core

You're so full of joy
Reminds me of a friend
I want to get to know you
Even if our paths never meet again.

You seem over excited But at other times shy
And at the same time never swayed
By the attentions of another guy.

You're like an open book
But I'm afraid to turn the page.
Or you will snap and bite at me
Like an animal in a cage
Captured.
